Senior Data Scientist
Pramesh’s research focuses on developing and applying network-based methods to understand biological systems. Understanding how genes or proteins interact and operate together to control cellular function is one of the most important problems in systems biology. Despite an abundance of large-scale `omics datasets, these biological processes are not well understood. One approach is to find groups of functionally related genes/proteins. To this end, he works on designing new algorithms to identify such functional units in large molecular interaction networks (e.g., gene co-expression networks, protein-protein interaction networks).
